Program Highlights:

Somerset County Health Department has joined with the National Diabetes Education program (NDEP), the American Diabetes Association (ADA), and locally with McCready Health Services Foundation, and Three Lower Counties (TLC) to urge the Somerset County community members to be screened for diabetes. Early identification allows the client to modify risk favors which may prevent progression of the disease. The Somerset County Health Department offers a FREE pre-diabetes health clinic for the community.

The clinic is held every other Monday, 8:30 AM - Noon. Individuals will receive an American Diabetes Association (ADA) paper risk assessment test, blood pressure screening, along with a HA1C, and blood glucose test. Both blood tests are non-fasting and are finger-sticks.

Qualifications:

Live or work in Somerset County

Open to all individuals who have NOT been diagnosed with diabetes

Individuals must make an appointment
